The former homestead of a family of RV dealers has hit the market for the first time – golf simulator and practice green included.

The nearly 10,000-square-foot house at 203 Randolph Square Lane, in Goochland’s Randolph Square community just north of the Country Club of Virginia’s James River Course, was listed for sale May 27 with an asking price of $5.5 million.

Nancy Cheely with The Steele Group | Sotheby’s International Realty has the listing, which she described as “resort-inspired living.” Located off a cul-de-sac and surrounded by trees, the 3.5-acre property has a practice green with four tee boxes, a zero-entry heated pool with infinity edge and waterfalls, and a pool house with a golf simulator.

“If you want to play Pebble Beach, you can go in there and play Pebble Beach,” Cheely said of the simulator. “It’s one of those houses that’s wonderful to go home to and yet is an ideal place for entertaining on a grand scale.”

Cheely is listing the home for the family of the late Laurel McGeorge, who most recently owned the house. McGeorge died in October after a yearslong cancer battle, according to an obituary.

McGeorge was previously married to Edward McGeorge of McGeorge’s Rolling Hills RV, a dealership in Ashland that was sold in 2017 to retail conglomerate Camping World Holdings. The McGeorges divorced in 2023, two years after the home’s ownership transferred from Edward to Laurel.

The same year the dealership was sold, Edward and their sons, Kevin McGeorge and Greg McGeorge, acquired the 100-acre Clifton Inn property in Charlottesville in a partnership with D.C.-based Westmount Capital Group.

Cheely said the house was the first built in Randolph Square when the community was developed in the mid-1990s. The McGeorges were the original owners of the house, which was built in 1995 by local builder Randy Carrington.

“They picked the choicest lot,” Cheely said. “It’s three and a half acres with a very private setting.”

Totaling over 9,700 square feet, the house has five bedrooms and seven bathrooms. Cheely said the house was added onto over the years, with Carrington handling the additions. The pool also was upgraded with the addition of the pool house and other features.

The zero-entry heated pool surrounds a fire pit area and includes an infinity edge and waterfall feature.

A wall of windows accents a two-story great room and overlooks the pool, which includes a hot tub and fire pit. The kitchen includes dual islands with granite countertops and a walk-in pantry with wine chiller.

The primary suite is on the first floor and has a sitting area with vaulted ceiling, a fireplace and renovated bathroom with access to the pool outside. The upstairs includes a home theater with adjoining kitchen and bar, a playroom, and a second-floor screened porch with fireplace.

In addition to the golf simulator, the pool house includes a lounge and kitchenette, and the practice green’s four tee boxes are placed at varying distances. The property also has two generators and garage space for six vehicles.

The property is assessed by Goochland at $3.4 million.

Since hitting the market, Cheely said the listing has received interest from both local and out-of-town prospective buyers.

“We’re happy with the number of showings we’ve had. We don’t expect to have a big crowd of people lining up at this price point, but we have had showings and we’re pleased with the feedback we’ve gotten,” she said.

The 3.5-acre property is off a cul-de-sac and surrounded by trees.

“It’ll just take the right buyer. Someone who really loves golf and loves the outdoors and loves the amenities that this house has.”

At $5.5 million, the listing is among highest price tags to hit the market in metro Richmond this year. In February, a 143-acre tract at 8703 River Road in Henrico was listed at $8.25 million and sold two months later for $9 million.
